It has been successfully tested up to 100 kW.

For which laser types does LaserSlat SAVER™  work?
LaserSlat SAVER™  has been engineered for fiber laser cutting machines and can be used on both fiber and CO2 lasers.

For which plate thickness does LaserSlat SAVER™ work?
It has been successfully tested up to 150 mm.

Which types of slat materials can LaserSlat SAVER™ protect?
It works with all types of slats, including mild steel, copper, aluminum, etc.

Is LaserSlat SAVER™ efficient when cutting any type of material?
Yes. It works with mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.

Can I apply LaserSlat SAVER™ with a brush or another method?
No. Always use the 3YO-GUN to ensure proper performance and avoid risks to the operator. Always refer to the 3YO-GUN Operation and Safety Manual.

Does LaserSlat SAVER™ have any side effects on post-cutting processes? Does it affect plating, anodizing, powder coating, etc.? Can it cause discoloration, stains, or other defects?
The fluid has no side effects on any metal when applied according to the instructions and guidelines provided. The liquid itself does not protect; the reaction occurs upon contact with heat. This reaction transforms the liquid's dry components into an invisible film that leaves no residue upon contact.

Do I have to wear PPE to apply LaserSlat SAVER™?
Although LaserSlat SAVER™ is a 100% natural-based, biodegradable formulation, PPE is recommended to avoid contact with eyes and any wounds or cuts, as specified in the Product Data Sheet (PDS).

The product can be stored for at least two years if the container has not been opened. Once opened, it should be used within one year.

Can I store LaserSlat SAVER™ anywhere in my workshop?
Do not store LaserSlat SAVER™ containers in direct sunlight. Keep the storage area clean, dry, and free from dust, odors, insects, and rodents.

How often do I have to apply LaserSlat SAVER™ to my laser cutting machine slats?
It depends on the number of shifts the machine operates.

Under normal conditions:
  • Every 7–14 days for 3 shifts
  • Every 14–21 days for 2 shifts
  • Every 21–28 days for 1 shift
Under heavy-duty conditions (power ≥ 50 kW, material thickness ≥ 50 mm, etc.):
  • Every 2–6 days for 3 shifts
  • Every 7–9 days for 2 shifts
  • Every 12–18 days for 1 shift
Because the product is biodegradable, LaserSlat SAVER™ performance progressively degrades after 28 days.

After applying LaserSlat SAVER™, how long do I have to wait before cutting?
You can begin cutting immediately after applying LaserSlat SAVER™. You may also wait up to three days between application and the first cutting operation. For example, you can apply LaserSlat SAVER™ on Friday evening and begin cutting on Monday morning.

Can I apply LaserSlat SAVER™ on dirty slats?
No. The slats must be either new or properly cleaned before applying LaserSlat SAVER™.

Should LaserSlat SAVER™ be used only on a new table, or can it also be used on a mechanically cleaned table?
For optimal performance, apply the product to a properly cleaned table or, ideally, one with new slats. After the initial application, only simple mechanical cleaning is required before reapplying the product.

How can I clean the slats before reapplying LaserSlat SAVER™?
The slag will easily detach from the slats. They can be cleaned using a steel brush or by vibration. If available, you can also use a slat cleaner.

There are sediments at the bottom of the container. Is this a problem?
No. Because LaserSlat SAVER™ is a 100% natural-based formulation, it is completely normal for some sediment to collect at the bottom of the container. Always shake the container to disperse the sediment before applying the liquid. It will not affect the product’s performance.

Is LaserSlat SAVER™ flammable?
No. The liquid is not fdo not expose the containering machine slats. However, the container should not be exposed to direct flames.
